God’s Faithfulness is shining and I want to climb to the top of the tallest mountain to scream out loudly, “JOY COMES IN THE MORNING”! IT DOES!

I know that for some, saying this is easier said, but I also know that we can do all things and get through anything with Christ who gives us strength. (Philippians 4:13)
Assurance in God
When we go through trials and tribulations and there’s no sign of relief, or we do not understand why God is allowing these things to happen, we can take heart because His word says that the testing of our faith produces perseverance (James 1:3), and Though weeping may last for the night, joy comes in the morning (Psalm 30:5).
God’s word reassures us that He is with us through life’s storms and these storms do not last forever. Although our joy may not necessarily come tomorrow morning or next Tuesday morning, we have a promise that He will do a new thing. Joy will come because God’s word is faithful and true (Revelation 21:5, 1 Thessalonians 5:24).
This is my family’s testimony of God’s faithfulness because our Joy came in the morning.
Focusing on the Positive and Trusting God’s Faithfulness
After our daughter Anel died (you can read her story here, Losing Our Baby), my husband and I chose to focus on the positive aspects of her life, because, though short-lived, her life was a blessing! We gave our faith the key to carry us through that journey, and in so doing, we were able to find purpose in our pain.
Remember this! EVERYTHING in life happens for a reason and the toughest of experiences have already been overcome by someone greater!
John 16:33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
Hebrews 10:23 Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.
Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
A Nurse’s Prophecy
Sometime in 2019, I visited a local clinic for a pregnancy test. The medical staff there were familiar with my stillbirth experience. While in the waiting room, a senior nurse approached and asked when I would bless her with a grandbaby girl. She was beyond elated to hear that I was in for a pregnancy test. Her exact words to me were “Now, this is Joy“. “No more sadness”.
We had not done the pregnancy test yet, but she seemed certain that I was pregnant and was having a baby girl. A few minutes after checking the regular vitals, blood samples were taken. While I sat in anticipation, the nurse returned with the results of the test and said, “I told you it is all Joy“.

Well, what a way to have broken the news that I was pregnant and what a testimony of God’s faithfulness; one can only imagine my emotional state at the time.
Baby Number Three
Excited to share the good news with my husband, I hastened home. During the drive, I was overwhelmed with baby thoughts—WE WERE HAVING BABY NUMBER THREE! Would it be a boy, or a girl as the nurse predicted? Did I care about the gender? Not at all.
Loved ones always said that the Lord would bless us with another baby girl, but we always maintained a neutral stance. Whether or not God chose to bless us with another child, we were content. We never felt the need to wish for a girl more than a boy. We simply felt grateful for the blessing of a child, regardless of their gender. A bouncing bundle of joy, whether boy or girl, we would love them unconditionally, just the same.

As the days slowly went by and my body began to grow, all the symptoms of pregnancy were upon me. My pregnancy was considered high-risk, so I needed to follow strict OBGYN orders. In the fourth month, we were able to determine the baby’s gender, and sure enough, the nurse’s prophecy was spot on. IT WAS A GIRL!!!
A Beautiful Gift From God, a Testimony of God’s Faithfulness

In 2020, we welcomed our gift from God: an adorable baby girl. Because of God’s promise that joy comes in the morning and His faithfulness, we named her Joy. She truly lived up to her name, arriving at seven minutes past midnight. Joy brings happiness to everyone she encounters and embodies her name effortlessly. Her brother adores her dearly and never seems to have enough of her; and for the endless mommy kisses, I confess, I am in love too. How awesome is the Lord!
Signs From Heaven
Throughout my pregnancy and leading up to the birth, two Bible verses consistently appeared.”
Nehemiah 8:10
Nehemiah said, “Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”
and
Psalm 30:5
For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.
I do not believe in coincidences. I knew it was a word from heaven, making it undeniably clear that a promised gift was coming, and she was to be named Joy.
Have you ever experienced something recurring? Maybe it’s a scripture verse, a number, or something that seems to appear at the perfect times, repeatedly? This doesn’t happen by chance when it aligns so seamlessly with what’s happening in your life. Ask God for clarity and a discerning spirit. Something supernatural might be unfolding before your very eyes. Pray about it and allow God to direct you accordingly!
God is Faithful and His Word is True
God’s faithfulness means he is a promise keeper. He sent his word and used others to convey his message that our Joy was coming. His grace kept us through our loss of Anel, and then He did a new thing. Joy did come in the morning. Today we are so thankful to have Joy in our lives. Thank God for His word that never returns void. God does not say that we will not be tried. His word says that we will face persecution and we will have tribulations, but He also reassures us that he has overcome the world; this right there is reason to have hope.

Hope in God’s Faithfulness and His Many Promises
We can hope in God’s faithfulness because He promises to be with us and take care of us and He is. He is our refuge and our strength and He promises to comfort and protect us. God promises heavenly blessings. He promises that sorrows may last for the night but joy comes in the morning; our story is a testimony that it does.
If you have experienced a miscarriage, stillbirth, or loss of a child in any way, take comfort in God’s truth. It may seem like the end of your world and all hope is lost, but do not give up. There is hope in God. Rest on His every promise and day by day, His grace will get you through it. The battle is not yours to fight. It is the Lords’.
